    Phoronix: Tow-Boot 2023.07 U-Boot Distribution Released With New Board Support

    Note for the record: this version doesn't support (yet) Rockchip's proprietary DRAM initialization, and thus won't support yet low power sleep, and dynamic speed and power consumption throttling of DRAM (which are useful features for people using the PinePhone Pro as a mobile phone, e.g., on Sailfish OS) unlike, say, the U-boot firmware versions that Megi package with his rk2aw pre-loader.

    But as linked above, it's on the roadmap for the next milestone. Yay!

      @Michael

      Typo on this article: https://www.phoronix.com/news/Intel-CR-24.13.29138.7

      "The new code supprots" should be "supports"

      Also the forum link on that article goes to the main forum, not a post specific to that article.

        If you try to comment within the first 5 to 10 minutes of an article existing it does that.

          Hmm, so no one is complaining about how to build this... You know, you need the nix package manager, and here the sick shit begins...
          # pacman -S nix
          resolving dependencies...
          looking for conflicting packages...

            Nice. I just installed this on my Pinebook Pro. I'm actually posting this comment from it.
