Phoronix: Linux 6.5 Now Powering Ubuntu 23.10

This brings back some fond memories.

I have used Linux for decades, since the late 90's and I used to always run Windows/Linux dual boots. When Fedora replaced Red Hat, i switched to it as my Windows companion, then Korora, which to me was what Fedora should have been. Then someone suggested I take a look at Ubuntu and this was right around Halloween 2015, which is when Ubuntu Willy Werewolf was released and I remember thinking to myself that finally, someone in the Linux community gets it, i thought it was the best distro I had ever tried.

I found a really nice werewolf pic to use as the desktop background and to this day, during the month of October, I use a werewolf pic as my desktop background.

:Looking forward to trying the Mate version of this.

As I usually do, I am on Mantic beta one month before release and yes the kernel version is 6.5.0-5 although I still use my custom kernel.

      Code:
      -rw------- 1 root root 14112264 Sep 6 09:53 vmlinuz-6.5.0-5-generic
      -rw-r--r-- 1 root root 8029824 Sep 13 07:41 vmlinuz-6.5.3-mirage

I am not recommending early upgrade, but for what it is worth, everything is working okay for me.

So it's not a Sabotage and you can stand it.

Yep, looks legit. I also tried gcc 13.2 to build the kernel. It is just fine too.
