            Hope it improves BTRFS scrub on HDD as well - in theory I guess it would be even more important latency-wise.

              I wonder if this will improvement will be obsolete with the extent tree V2 changes. As I have understood it extent tree V2 requires rewriting scrub from scratch i think.

                Perhaps, but can you convert from one to another, and will people actually do that? If not there will still be a lot of old filesystems around.
