    Yes, this was a major performance issue even on Windows 11 with my Gigabyte X570 Aorus Xtreme and 5950x which was patched since AGESA 1.2.0.7. It would cause 3 second system stutter that would cause any animation, sound and input to break up. It was most annoying during gaming as all immersion would be broken. This is why one should always be on the latest BIOS update, not only for security fixes. It's good that the kernel only disables known broken versions and not all versions.

        Even with latest bios, TRX40 platform was stuttering before this patch. I dont think AMD even provided patch for 3000 series threadrippers. Even amd pstate is still not working and I'm pretty sure all vendors are using AMD's reference bios.
