Does the name "CBL-Mariner" even stand for anything, or just a soup of letters.

Thanks, I was more curious about the "Mariner" part (because what does a sailor have to do with an MS Linux distro).

I wonder how hard it would be to run it on a desktop or laptop, just for the amusement of Microsoft Linux on consumer hardware 😁

Going out on a limb here but, CBL-Mariner is according to Wikipedia used "as the base Linux for containers in the Azure Stack HCI implementation of Azure Kubernetes Service."

                A Mariner for Containers....

CBL's logo though is nowhere near as good as Dockers' Moby Dock.

Also the Mariner moniker name could simple come from the Seattle Mariners baseball team . Doesn't have to mean anything. Just a name hung on the distro.

Don't worry, the Microsoft programmed spyware works as good as Microsoft's Windows OS.

Borked, crashing and likely doesn't work like it should. Will probabely have to call Microsoft support and complain why theire spyware is not working!
