    I noticed that CONFIG_SLS is off by default in the kernel. The option is documented as:

    Compile the kernel with straight-line-speculation options to guard against straight line speculation. The kernel image might be slightly larger.‚Äč
    Is this what we're talking about here? And does someone know the reason why it's disabled by default?
