      You don't need to run systemd, naturally the systemd-bootloader bootloader is an independent PE executable. Just steal it from some distro.
      kernel update hooks are shell scripts
      I would love if systemd-boot could support a handful of filesystems (directly, not via EFI Plugins). Fat32 should go extinct, would not want to copy critical stuff there.
