    I'm excited for this. This isn't my wheelhouse, but I've seen THP benefit some workloads, and always had the nagging suspicion that a ton of kernel stuff happening in 4k chunks (like swap and the page cache) may have been diluting the value of huge pages.

    Is there some sort of generic in-kernel object store for 'stuff', or is that done in a more bespoke per-subsystem manner?
