      IIRC using the exFat driver you just removed the fuse package and it worked.

          OK, I've given it a try and it isn't so simple. It doesn't seem to mount in nautilus and if I do it manually I have trouble with folder permissions (some have write permission while others don't). Also the symlinks are not internally consistent.
