Hi, I just stumbled upon this topic because I was also measuring my Ryzen 5950X power draw Linux (KDE/X11) vs. Windows10 and also witnessed a huge difference (~35Watts) in idle.


In Windows I observed most of the cores idling at some very low frequency ~50MHz... while under Linux all cores did not go below 2.2GHz in idle, even with governour "powersave" enabled...

Is this "ACPI CPPC CPUFreq"-thing going to address this issue or I am mixing things up?
