Sounds like a Chromebook issue. Other than servers and Android devices, I cannot thinks of a 100K devices that would collectively trigger simultaneously.

That wasn't me. I just have a Logitech Unifying Receiver being able to get updates and didn't updates in a while. My laptop (Dell Inspiron 5590) supports firmware updates over UEFI, but just newer models have the firmware available for download e install.
