    On first glance of this, I was like holy crap...how did this happen. However, I had to actually read though the emails to fully understand that the bug only affects swap files and not swap partitions.

        How will they be "undoing" this? Having a kernel that potentially obliterates your HDD will be pretty bad if you are trying to do a git bisect...

          Using virtual machines with snapshots comes to mind as a potential solution.
