When I tried patch version 21 of the dkms module, it gave me annoying random access errors when using Linux file permissions (uid & umask), contrary to ntfs-3g (which then has slow downs in games though). So I'd wait until it will have passed some bug fixing rounds upstream.

I highly doubt it. The NTFS code in Windows has been around forever, so it has likely seen a lot of refinements.

I've built it as a dkms module.
Symbolic links made with ntfs3 and ntfs-3g are not compatible with each other, and neither are compatible with Windows.
Major annoyance!
