Phoronix: Mozilla Announces "Open Web Docs" Following Last Year's Layoffs

Last year during the big round of layoffs at Mozilla the entire Mozilla Developer Network (MDN) writers team was laid off. That was a particularly sad blow considering how valuable the MDN documentation has been to web developers as a very useful resource. Today the Mozilla folks are announced Open Web Docs in seemingly looking to have the community take over...

It's strange how these days you can fire people, and then expect other people to do that work for free...

They don't expect, they just try to make sure the docs have a chance to survive. When you don't have the money to keep the staff you have no choice but to fire them.

Good idea, hopefully the docs will flourish. If you want to help, the least you can do is use Fx. If usage increases, so do revenues for Mozilla. Sitting on the sidelines throwing rocks while using a chrom-a-clone isn't helping.

It doesn't surprise me that Mozilla Corp keeps firing employees that help improve the community, ecosystem, and actual product they are most known for.

Mozilla Firefox are going down because of the parasites they have who suck all the money resources.

in 2018 she earns 2,4 Millionen US-Dollar per year it is simple how this parasite operate she gets more money every year and she "keeps firing employees that help improve the community"...

there is a simple solution for this: FORK Firefox the people who really do the work should FORK firefox and by this they remove the parasites like Mitchell Baker.

sadly there is no other way to remove such parasites. it is same like the BLM leader of Debian...
it is time to FORK Debian and by this remove the Marxist/socialists...

evil people will always hunt down projects like Debian and Firefox and just steal "2,4 Millionen US-Dollar per year" from it.

and the only solution to this is: FORK the project and make sure these people have no contact to the new project.

(EDIT)"By 2020 her salary had risen to over $3 million, while in the same year the Mozilla Corporation had to lay off approximately 250 employees due to shrinking revenues. Baker blamed this on the Coronavirus pandemic.[15]"

in 2020 it is even 3 million euro per year.

              what a greedy parasite.

(edit2) "In 2018 she received a total of $2,458,350 in compensation from Mozilla, which represents a 400% payrise since 2008.[13] On the same period, Firefox marketshare was down 85%. When asked about her salary she stated "I learned that my pay was about an 80% discount to market. Meaning that competitive roles elsewhere were paying about 5 times as much. That's too big a discount to ask people and their families to commit to."[14]"

marketshare was down by 85%= """400% payrise"""

Let's not forget that open source is the embodiment of socialism. Arguing against that means you want us to only use closed source software? No thank you.

Also how is being against racism and police brutality linked in any way to the mismanagement of a corporation?

80% discount was too much to commit to for people and their families... so some people have to have experience a 100% discount (layoffs)?
