Mozilla Announces "Open Web Docs" Following Last Year's Layoffs

I'm old enough to remember when they were blowing money on designing their own failed smartphone OS. Has Mozilla ever been good at managing their money? Probably the entire thing should be a community project. I agree with the calls for forking Firefox into a broad community project, take it away from the poor management at Mozilla.

Are you old enough to remember the (pardon the language) IE5 and IE6 days? Mozilla had no problem setting and hitting their goals back then.

But it could be an industry-wide problem, not Mozilla's fault. These days everything seems to revolve around closed platforms and getting users to send their data where it can be mined. And Mozilla's philosophy flies in the face of all that. It's no wonder money has been dwindling. Too bad none of their alternate plans panned out.

Maybe first read-up what the difference is between Marxist and socialism. Do you (want to) know where the most happy people live....Not the USA, but mostly North- and West-Europe.
