Phoronix: Linux 5.7.1 Releases As A Benign First Point Release

One week after the release of the big Linux 5.7 kernel release with its many new features, the first point release is now available and overall it's quite light for being the first point release in a new series...

Yeah seems to me 5.7 was very trouble free in general. I have been using it day 0 with no issues.

Been compiling kernels like clock work for years and was excited over 5.7.1 only to watch it throw errors at me. ... Like a baby shitting it's diapers the very moment you want to cuddle it.

Edit: turns out the Nvidia driver 440.82 needs a tiny patch before it plays nice with 5.7. See here.

Again the same stupidity. Show me Windows bug tracker or get lost. Only 76 bug reports and hundreds of drivers, dozens of file systems etc. Stupidity level high.
