Sorry starshipeleven, but what about becoming useful person and doing something for society.
    Sorry what the fuck?
My post was (at the time of your posting) the only ontopic post in the thread and you single out me?

I genuinely wanted to say that loopback filesystems in Linux have always been a very meh thing and that I am happy to see them brought into serious modern use with a better API.

It very probably will, as using read-only images as a base with overlays is 100% safe and is also very much a thing in containers.

I hope it will have some checks to avoid mounting read-write filesystems multiple times, as that would be indeed bad, but I'm ok with it either way, this isn't a functionality that will be used directly by untrained users very often.

        Unix: everything is a file.

        Linux: everything is a filesystem.

Nothing directly against your post. But considering your omnipresence on the forums, I would like that people would be as eager of your posts as they are of bridgman (AMD guy) or other experts. If these guys write something, it is usually extremely interesting. I do not ever remember regretting reading it. It is definitely not waste of time. I hope you understand where I am pointing at.

Aaah, so you are just envious of my score. I can keep posting all I want while your troll accounts get eventually shot down or their posts get moderated for the very least.

            Your tears are delicious.

Michael : We all know that we have various people in our forums. Some of them consider number of posts their meaning of life (see above), some to compensate various psychological deficiencies, still others just to spend time arguing about anything as they try to entertain themselves, etc. My personal opinion is that these people devaluate the high standard of Phoronix forums where we used to see experts from AMD, etc., followed by a kind of high knowledge exchange. It seems to me that these experts stop to attend forums to some degree because of offensive language and discussions about nothing. On one hand side, we want to leave forums open to everyone, but on the other, let me suggest my humble proposal: Each person would be able to put some well known "spammers" to its personal ignore list. So, "spamming" contributions (and possibly reactions on them) will not be shown when the person views the forums. This way, the right of anyone to write whatever will be preserved and the right to not listen (or not be abused) by other will be preserved as well. Surely, the decision is on you. I am just tired of reading or even scrolling through senseless discussions. Just suggestion as protecting high standard of Phoronix forums seems good idea to me.

No I don't. I don't see why the fuck you are upset because I post comments in a public forum where also everyone else does (and also does much worse).

You seem to have a grudge against me because you chose to single out my comment, which was THE ONLY comment that was about the topic in this thread at the time, while everyone else was posting memes, bullshit and bad jokes.

And you called me "recluse man-virgin that lives in his parent's basement", which is still technically an offense even if you use more words and "allude" to it.

And when I asked clarifications like an adult does you kept vomiting offenses at me.

What reaction you expected to that? If you act like a child I treat you like a child.

It seems to me that these experts stop to attend forums to some degree because of offensive language and discussions about nothing.
Yeah, like you throwing heavy gratuitous offenses at me twice in this thread, and now discussing your bullshit reasons to enable again the ignore list.

This way, the right of anyone to write whatever will be preserved and the right to not listen (or not be abused) by other will be preserved as well.
Sounds kind of strange for someone that just abused me 2 times for no reason. I don't need an ignore list though. I Iike drinking tears as I said.

Each person would be able to put some well known "spammers" to its personal ignore list.
Last time Micheael answered similar complaints, the "ignore list" function was still broken and disabled, and given that vBullettin is traditionally a dumpster fire I would not have high hopes on that being fixed now.

Sorry starshipeleven, but what about becoming useful person and doing something for society. We see many people that cannot meet others except through their keyboard. Some even resigned to their life and never leave their rooms and never find their jobs. They can go on as long as their parents provide them by food and electricity (and silicon to compute on). It is personal choice but probably quite non-mature. What will such people do when their parents die?
As much as I hate starship, you're the idiot here and he did nothing wrong. I even agree with him. So do everyone a favor and contribute, or shut up.

Your post count is not a score. If anything, it's a sign of you interjecting too much, which you usually do, although this PCJohn asshat did attack yo unnecessarily.

                      Yeah I know.
I was just pulling his leg. Because what else could I do to people doing random attacks out of the blue like that, really.
