5.9 will be. Or 5.10, if they speed up a bit. Anyway, the last kernel of this year ought to become LTS.

I agree. The promises of this kernel upgrade makes me think it would be worth delaying 20.04LTS to 20.06LTS if necessary. It's been done before.

Have you seen otherwise? Linux 5.6 would be way too close to 20.04 LTS release date.
