"Up until now you needed the NVMe user-space utilities installed and generally had to run it as root in order to see drive temperatures"

        Or smartctl:

$ sudo smartctl --all /dev/nvme0n1|grep Temp
Warning Comp. Temp. Threshold: 77 Celsius
Critical Comp. Temp. Threshold: 79 Celsius
        Temperature: 45 Celsius
        Warning Comp. Temperature Time: 0
        Critical Comp. Temperature Time: 0
        Temperature Sensor 1: 45 Celsius
        Temperature Sensor 2: 49 Celsius
