Can anyone with Navi please test The Witcher 2 with d9vk? The game is hanging for me om startup (not hard system hang, just Wine itself gets stuck).

Is there a problem with the Linux version?

Edit: If wanted I can switch over to the proton version and test with d9vk with a 580.

I wanted to compare performance. I suspect d9vk would perform better.

But apparently there is some Wine bug that makes the game hang. It doesn't work with wined3d either in a similar fashion. So it's not a d9vk issue.

That's a fallacious statement. Just because two different implementations for the same feature lead to the same issue, does not mean the issue lies elsewhere. It could simply mean that both implementations are done incorrectly also, like a missing API feature or a certain behavioral quirk of the original not being replicated correctly by either implementation.
I'm not saying the fault cannot be within wine itself mind you, just that this evidence alone isn't enough to draw that conclusion.

How does d9vk compare to wine-nine-standalone (gallium nine)?
