    I'm pretty sure they'll take 100 revisions before getting it into mainline.

        for ensuring nothing nefarious could happen once booted into the operating system by bad actors.
        "Bad actors" is going to be people who will try to use their own computers as if they own them 10 years from now when Windows will be locked down as tight as iOS where in practice you don't even own the device you paid for. This preliminary security work looks like it's the ground layer for Windows DRM security later down the line.
