Wow! I remember messing around with the "CTTY NUL" command in MS-DOS years ago. It would appear to lock up the system, though it would actually just disconnect the console from the operating system.

It's crazy how a feature that was introduced in MS-DOS 5.0 back in 1991 is finally finding its way into Linux in 2019.
