    I'm sorry, but the name of this FS constantly forces me to invent silly jokes like "dedicated FS for secure pron storage", etc.

          Either that or a contraction of "ErrorFS" (designed for use on old IBM DeathStar drives, presumably)!

                    Im reminded of the phrase "what good is a new baby". While it might look like a duplication of effort it is how innovation happens.

                    Today is the very first that ive heard of EROFS. So surprise something new! That being said i dont see the draw in readonly file systems. Is that much data really being saved?

                    On the flip side im always happy to see new ideas explored even if i question why. It is a positive aspect of Linux.
