    It's been a number of years since the last major update to the OpenAFS Andrew distributed file-system but there's a Friday the 13th release today introducing the shiny new v1.8 release...

    Yes, and for those of us who have had the displeasure of trying to use AFS*, you'll also know that it takes about six years to get it set up and working semi-properly too.


    * And that would basically be people who went to CMU

        It's used all over CERN as well, but their long term plan is to replace it with something else.
