    This week Raspbian OS, the official Debian-based operating system of the Raspberry Pi, finally upgraded to the Linux 4.14 LTS kernel. Considering that Raspbian was previously on Linux 4.9, it's quite the kernel upgrade, and I decided to run some before/after benchmarks...

    Seems to indicate that the kernel updates either can't extract anymore from the limited hardware, or they just did a good job of adding the architecture to the mainline without losing anything.

      I like the fact that despite all the changes the speed is staying pretty constant. IMO, the biggest speed increases are going to be when Anholt's OpenGL driver get mainstream adoption. Hopefully all this plus the the hardware decoding block will help with regular web browsing and video (YouTube).
