        So, is this like VMs?
        What's the point of using virtualization tecnology? Containers are isolated processes by the kernel not VMs anyway.

            If you have to boot up a new kernel instance in the VM to run the application this is not a containerized application it's an app that run on a guest os inside a VM infrastracture. A VM it's not like a container in anyway.

              VMs to look like and to take over most workflow of a docker container(uses docker images), orchestrated by Kubernetes -> you can run kata (trusted) and docker (untrusted) container in parallel.

                I think they have a very cut down kernel with maybe custom hacks to make it simpler in their infrastructure, and a severely reduced OS in the VM, so they have VMs with performance characteristics of containers.

                That's the only way it makes some kind of sense.
