So they're capitulating to Nvidia's tyranny and screwing over those who are, quite rightly, taking a stand against EGLStreams.

    GREAT JOB GUYS!

I, for one, welcome our new closed-source overlords.

Don't worry, in a year or two everyone will be using AMD hardware on Linux and Nvidia will be extinct in this space. Then we'll have our era of open source goodness.

Don't worry. Any program requiring XWayland won't work with EGLStreams... This basically means no browser.

I don't really care about Solus, but this situation reminds me of this:

In all seriousness, I'd much rather have some Nvidia+Wayland support than revert back to X11 due to principles.

Postulating about AMD hardware isn't going to help anyone. Compute performance-wise, your statement is quite untrue.

Mine did cost 770 euros, a brand new complete desktop gaming/sw devel pc. This in Euro Union ( ) where taxes are high. Without taxes 585 euros.
You do know the EU doesn't set VAT taxes, right?

Interrupting the scheduled flaming (because we all know NVIDIA is evil) for an important request.

ikey_solus could you please have a look and fix this issue? https://dev.solus-project.com/T4297 people not in the US (not using a US keyboard) will be extremely grateful.
