No. They not move. They still use rpm with urpmi as default and dnf is only optional alternative! Read info on mageia blog...

URPMI is just about Dead or mprolly is for years, DNF is the way it'll go, DNF maybe renamed as YUM-4.0.0 eventually

That's the person who packaged DNF. Obviously he'd like it to be the default. urpmi works _really_ well and it's way nicer to use than DNF.

Indeed but I'm not sure that makes him a bad source? Surely those doing the work would know and influence the direction?
