Completely unrelated to the discussion. We are talking of the OS crapifying over time by itself, not of dumb retard userbase that should use Android instead.

Yeah, because the vast majority of windows users are going to run android on their laptops.... Idiot.

Isn't this precisely why you would want a rolling release?

How many times have you reported a bug, only to be told it *is* fixed, several months ago, in the current major version, but your non-rolling release distro is forever stuck at the previous version, and the developer of course didn't bother backporting?

On Android there are all major browsers (IE isn't a major browser anymore), and also MSOffice.
Yeah they can migrate fine, don't worry.

So hold on, let me take this seriously and try to get this right.... You believe that windows doesn't slow down over time on Windows 7 and up because (you think) average users can migrate their OS to Android? Wow, just wow!

Tell me why wtf anybody should take another word you say seriously ever again?

EDIT: How many people do you know personally that even know what Edge is? How many of them can make it run on Windows 7 or 8? How many of them can install Android on their PC? How many of them can make Edge work on that Android? Seriously...

Not the dumbest thing I've had argue about, but certainly within the top 5.

EDIT: I'm positive you're a competent repairman, You can't tell me you've never fixed a bogged down, infected windows machine. I swear I'll call you out as a liar again. You know just as well as I do The only thing required to infect windows is an internet connection straight to the modem and a browser that still uses ActiveX. There are plenty of those, tons of browsers that people use daily are really just front ends to IE. You know it's a fact too.

A Router with NAT firewall can go a long way to prevent malicious infections on windows, but even the router can't stop people from installing coupon bars or clicking that ad which says you're the winner....

EDIT: You think Android doesn't slow down over time? Think again, every time you click an app that wasn't previously open already.

Nope, these are two unrelated statements I made.
I really need to teach you how to strawman properly someday. This is way too obvious.

Ummmmm, nope. Not for modern Windows anyway.

No, I don't "think". Android slows up for the same reason as Win7 and linux, apps that get autostarted or misbehave or do shit and waste resources. Issue is that on Android you aren't usually the administrator of the device so you can't fix that.

Bullshit. Install Windows 10, plug the ethernet straight to the modem and then fire up IE and do your usual thing. It won't last 1 hour. I like how you reneged too.. So now you admit that windows 7 and up do in fact slow down over time. Also admitted that Android slows down too. The screwed up thing is you definitely already knew that all along.

You mean the background auto-defrag that was introduced in Vista, so your disk would keep churning away even when you were not doing anything?

So a bag was stuck on the side to try to patch up a fundamental design problem, but the fundamental problem remains.

Like you said, Linux never suffered from this rubbish. That’s because the folks working on Linux have a good idea of how all the pieces fit together. The Windows engineers lost that understanding a long time ago.

Sorry but this is wrong. Win10 isn't XP.

Good, this is better strawmanning. Anyway, as said above, we were discussing the system slowing down on its own even if you are a intelligent user that does not install bullshit.
