Ah -O3 easy with optimizations, that might introduce new bugs

Michael could you test clear linux on an AMD APU system?

This is not general purpose distro, it is GenuineIntel only

For what purpose? As mentioned in the article, it doesn't even build the Radeon/AMDGPU DRM drivers.

People probably does not understand what Clear means there

There is no support there neither for AMD CPUs, nor anything else like VIA CPUs... it is Clear (Intel's) Linux

To get the same sort of performance you would probably need a AMD focused set of optimisations

Which I doubt we'll see, until after Zen launches. Although Zen is supposedly designed to take advantage of Intel-specific (Westmere) optimizations.

Has Intel stated any goals for their distro? Any roadmaps?

I'm a bit surprised, not too much though, that they have taken this step with Linux and have begun pushing it for whatever purposes and intends. They have always been a strong partner to M$ and M$ must feel like getting poked in the back (not a real stab, but poked with something pointy and knife-like *lol*).

                    Thank you, Captain Obvious.

I would like to see the other Linux systems with disabled pstate and Clear Linux with enabled pstate in the same comparison. It sounds always like comparing apples and oranges right now.
