I'm not a Fedora guy so maybe someone would be able to explain it to me if there are any fluent upgrade paths available between the releases? Coming from the Arch side of things I wouldn't like to be forced to do a reinstall every release.

you fdont have to " reinstall " every 6 months , thats where a DNF plugin was made https://github.com/rpm-software-mana...system-upgrade to allow people to upgrade Via commandline https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/DNF_system_upgrade

Your point being? There's two paths available: upgrade, or reinstall, both were already being covered in the discussion
All opinions are my own not those of my employer if you know who they are.

Agreed, though this release is shaping up to be one of the more "buggy" ones, since they are still hoping to default to Wayland. On the plus side, any bugs with that change can be "fixed" by logging out and changing your session to Gnome on X.

Eh, they supported upgrades well before DNF came in... prior to that, it was the "fed-up" tool, and I think there was something else before that...

myself i prefer to do a Fresh install, i dont trust the other ways to gety rid of old crap, if one has a fast internet connection it doesnt take long to download a ISO image an burn it to DvD .
