lolololol at "apple giving a hand" at wayland's development

when it's released and polished they will steal wayland and use it and then probably sue everyone else who uses it.

apple uses x11 because it's cancer and fail, just like apple. And it's not like of apple to use the 39348 billions, they have in the coffers from selling shiny anal beads to retards, to actually invest in the development of computing technology.

what for? some retards will keep working on bsd,x11, wayland and then all apple has to do is come and steal it.

I will finish by saying SHAME YOU APPLETARDS SHAAAAAAAAAMMMMMMMMEEEEEEEEE, wayland is beauty in code form and it will benefit ALL those are running linux and yet you appletards want people to worry about your retinavaginas instead? LOLOL for the benefit of the 69 people who run linux on maccock pros.

may your macs be filled with gay porn just as your lifes are filled with fail.

apple cannot "steal" s*** you retard. apple took bsd and improved it, but you can still have access to the bsd. open source licenses cannot be revoked.

The issue is about not having access to whatever improvements they make.

Of course they shamelessly steal whatever they think is good.

Crapple wasn't even able to come up with their own clock design so they stole it from the swiss railway company.

then that's not "stealing". you still have access to the same ghetto crackhouse that is BSD. also apple "gave back" webkit, cups, OpenBSM, darwin, launchd, iokit. GPL, btw, does not prevent "locking out the improvement". WebOS used the linux kernel, yet it was closed source.

Unless the source of the kernel they use is also closed and derived from Linux, then their probably not locking anything that they're not allowed to.

No it's not stealing, but 'giving back' is a bit of a stretch when it comes to some things you listed, webkit was a fork of khtml which was LGPL-licenced so they had to 'give back', cups was an existing GPL-licenced printer solution which apple bought because they needed the functionality.

Darwin was open sourced but most of the code was licenced under 'apple public source licence' which is copyleft'ish and AFAIK incompatible with BSD (and of course with GPL) and as such the BSD projects which contributed so much to what made up OSX can't use the APSL licenced darwin code which Apple 'gave back'.

There was the community-based OpenDarwin project based upon the Darwin source release which shut down due to lack of developer interest, followed by PureDarwin which seems to share the same fate.

And what's with the BSD 'ghetto crackhouse' comment?

how is it not called 'stealing' ???

you pick something that is free and open and you steal it, modify it slightly and then repackaged it and sell it for $2000 (the only reason people buy macbooks etc is because they have os x, if they had win7 they would just be another one in a long line of laptops)

Believe it or not, there's actually people who believe that macbooks are better hardware wise than PCs with the same specs. 0_o
Or like the design sometimes(not that it's worth that much).
