Yeah, after all, Red Hat is big into cloud computing.

I doubt that. He's supposed to be omnipotent and as such would probably install his own custom linux distro by uncompressing tarballs and compiling everything manually.

Funny, I always expected God to be intelligent.

God (Linus Torvalds) actually does use Fedora.

Following a period of Fedora contributors proposing codenames for the release of Red Hat's next community operating system, Fedora 14, voting commenced. Fortunately, the name that's been decided upon is not Fytnargin...

Don't worry- we'll always have Ptalarbvorm (which as far as I can tell, came from this reddit post: http://www.reddit.com/r/programming/..._major/c08ihxj )
The person there has the correct name back in March 2009, when the first time it seems to be mentioned as the new Theora codename is February 23rd 2010 (http://xiphmont.livejournal.com/48207.html)

I think a mountain is more impressive than a professor.

Not that it matters though But now that I'm starting to become a Fedora fanboy due to their awesome KDE 4.4 build that actually works and their latest X stuff now that I am using a 5770

this is one major distro where i barely remember release codenames.

i think most people refer to them as fedora12, fedora13 anyway

I don't know about that.... there is (may be) intelligence behind a professor. There is no intelligence behind a mountain.

                    Robert Goddard: Rocket scientist (literally)
Robert Laughlin: Won a nobel prize in physics for something about "quantum fluid" and superconductors.

So what do we honor? Intellect or mass?
Intellect seems more suited to a Linux distro. Naming something after a mountain would be more suited to MS -- they have the size but not the brains.
