So? It's Debian stable. If you want a more modern kernel you can always run Debian testing. Besides what do you actually need in the newer kernel specifically?! And if you really need a more updated kernel why don't you run Debian testing?!

    Someone is butt hurt.

Maybe because he-she realizes that Linux advocacy, by definition, is "unpaid corporate dick riding".

Linux kernel development is funded by big corporations and most of the code is contributed by big corporations and they also have seats on the Board of Directors and the Board of Technical Advisors.

If you advocate for Linux then you are the very thing you express disdain for.

I am sure many other distributions will appreciate these updates. Good for all. This is an important project, mother of so many others. I only wish backporting from the children would be more effective. Are the other distributions contributing back enough? I know Ubuntu does, how about others?

    Do you have an example?

So clearly the Debian maintainers must be trolling us.

I'm using Debian Stable on old laptop. It just works and with lighter desktop that machine is still pretty usable.

Worth mentioning, the upcoming 13.0 has first-class support for RISC-V.
