As always, we’re committed to delivering the latest GNOME 48 and all the new features that come with it, whilst continuing to to backport improvements to GNOME 46 in Noble.
One sentence backed by ~5 FTEs. Best part is almost trickle-up economy; All benefits hit Debian too.

The last time I played with their installer in 23.10, it still had a nasty years old behavior mimicking Windows, where if there was an existing ESP partition on a drive that wasn't the one you selected for the installtion, it would install its bootloader to that other drive without telling you. Ubuntu is one of the only distros that I've had clobber other existing Linux installs. Now I'd only install it on single drive systems, or remove / disable other disks, or do a manual install with debootstrap.
