I'm not really sure if i like dracut, i've been using it as part of endeavouros, and I sorta just miss the more straightforward nature of initramfs-tools.
Dracut is extremely convoluted in comparison and it's syntax and options make little sense to me, just the other day i tried to rebuild an initramfs image with dracut in a chroot environment, using the rebuild options failed (I believe it even failed solely because i was in a chroot environment....), so i tried using regenerate instead, and it seemed to work, but the image was broken, it wouldn't boot.
Basically dracut allowed me to generate a broken initramfs image, and when i tried to generate an initramfs the normal way with it, it refused to do it...
Meanwhile with initramfs-tools i never had any issues at all.
