Seriously, this cosmic visual and colors looks like a interface made for children's.

Interesting opinion. The colors themselves can be customized however (with and/or without + other colors). But I am more excited for the developing process behind the Desktop Environment after working with Gnome. Plus the Rust language makes it less prone for memory leaks.

I'm putting my coins on cosmic too. Gnome developers can go to hell already.

There are more screenshots in the blog post, I fail to see anything childish about them. I don't like the floating, center-aligned taskbar, but I'm sure it's configurable.
One of the goals of Cosmic is a "comprehensive theming system with shareable themes". A concept alien only to Gnome users by now.

Gnome developers are a scourge on Linux, so hell is already brought on earth.

There's a place for simple, no frills UIs, of that I'm sure. What seems to be irksome is the attitude towards changes and even contributions.

I'm sick of everything being flat gray-on-gray bleh. Return to actually having colors in user interfaces!

I am going to go out on a limb and say you probably were not using computers in the Windows XP era... or were a really young child... THAT was a UI built for a child.

I remember when I first saw it I was 100% convinced Bill Gates handed his kid a box of crayolas and said "Make us UIs plz!"

I hope nothing ever brings back that sense of UI revulsion... that said as an OS Windows XP is one of the gold standards Microsoft ever produced... the other being Windows 7.... I would argue Windows 98 could be a nice Silver standard because it was pretty awesome in a time that generally was awful looking back. We live in such a golden era of tech right now
