As far as I know core is on a 12 month release cycle that coincides with .04 releases

Michael Larabel: Not all flavors are ready for Beta yet as they explain in the beta release announcement:

Ubuntu Cinnamon, Ubuntu MATE and Ubuntu Unity are still in the process of
completing their fixes and testing, and might follow up on Monday.

Does it already have the 6.11 kernel? I am still on 6.8 a few days ago in 24.10. Couldn't find it in apt as well back then.

Yes, 6.11 arrived 3 days ago IIRC. At least on Kubuntu, but I think it's the same for Ubuntu.

Too bad Ubuntu still doesn't have the ability to create and name Btrfs subvolumes during installation. That's a really nice feature in Fedora, and makes snapshot management easy with Btrfs Assistant. It looks like Ubuntu makes subvolumes for root and the home directory, but it would be good to put /var/cache and /var/log into their own subvolumes so they don't waste space in the snapshots.
