Many people tend to underestimate Mint but I think it deserves much more praise and recognition for helping less tech-savvy users make the not-so-easy jump to the free software world

gave it a spin in a VM, pretty nice and easy to use for beginners but with lots of customization
i am happily in manjaro cinnamon and will remain so but it was a pleasant test

i enjoyed cinnamon very much but for the last 2 years or so i had to give it up. can't play anything on it with my apu igpu. the games freeze the desktop at some point. or if i got lucky only some flickering between game and desktop and at the point i can still force close from another console.
                sad.

so i had to downgrade to kde

                    True!

Linux Mint without KDE Plasma and other KDE software, is indeed useless!
And not only useless, but also dangerous as you can't have the maximum / best privacy and security without Wayland support!

Anyway, Linux Mint developers clearly don't care about their users.
But of course their users don't care of having a modern, full-features and secure distro either.

Linux Mint is just a little bit better than Ubuntu and Ubuntu is probably the worst distro of them all.
