I'd not say the last traditional release as ALP will have also regular release schedule (release cadence not yet confirmed), but rather the last openSUSE release based on SLES 15 code stream.
There will be 15 SP6, 15 SP7, we just don't have capacity to work on all fronts, so we will do some overlap and focus on ALP instead of Leap see my slides https://en.opensuse.org/images/6/61/...l-Workshop.pdf
SUSE positions ALP as a parallel offering rather than successor to SLE 15 product family. We'll have to do similar positioning on the openSUSE community side.
The differences will be relatively big, most of system components (yast, firewall etc) will now run in containers, utilization of flatpaks ... so migration won't be easily doable. Although Richard has worked on scripts for Leap / TW migration to MicroOS (we could start from there).
