You think linux is maybe two times faster? Maybe three times? No, it's only several percent. Linux fanboys always lie .
True just 4% or respectively 8% if you consider CL. How much does this cost if you simply buy the next better cpu to achieve the same perfomance? We are not even talking about servergrade CPUs...than it is easily a few thousand $

So long as the binaries are compiled as equally as possible, the scheduler, background processes, and power governor should typically be the only things to affect performance. The fact Linux is measurably faster beyond margin of error, that suggests Windows isn't doing something right.

In any case, there's more to the performance of an OS than just benchmarks. There's also boot times, UI smoothness, disk performance, GPU performance, network performance, etc all matter. Some key differences in how the OSes function in everyday workloads matter too, like the installation/update process for applications, opening Task Manager, or just simply logging in. That's why despite Mac OS traditionally being slower in most benchmarks, it feels snappier and faster to the user.

No lie. You can not even do a thing when windows updates in background.

Windows writes to disk all the time. The disk-LED of any Windows machine I have ever seen constantly flickers, whereas on Linux machines, it's only blinking when you really do know that you're writing data at the time.

I feel with MESA and gaming, Linux could also lead, especially clear linux ^^

In theory. In practice, it's bugged sh*t.

between muck and windos3 , i prefer the "spying/data collecting on u" of linux os

At the same time this comparison doesn't show that in Windows all web browsers and most video players support HW accelerated video decoding and proper power management out of the box which is what people will actually appreciate, not some surface-level improvements for various benchmarks most people never run.

What do people actually care about? How fast their web browser works. How fast their system boots. How fast they can perform calculations in Excel. Wait, there's no Excel in Linux. Whether their hardware works without issues. Overall on the desktop this is far more important than performance in benchmarks.
You do understand that you can set aside your IT Clowns with brown noses assigned windows laptop and use linux box to create excel files with anything from php to python ?
Besides people want to use python3 instead of excel these days.

Yes, but considering this article is all about benchmarks, it seems a bit odd you wanting to focus on the wholesome feel of the OS...

Dude, really? "People" want to use python3 instead of excel? Have you -ever- been in an office and met an actual employee? They'd all swear python is something you need to be weary of, when you're lost in the Amazonian forest.
