    Mandrake used to be a really nice rpm distro, faster than it's Red Hat parent, by virtue of being i586 compiled vs i386 compiled and very slick.
    Mageia is also pretty slick but the problem is that the competition has also gotten better.

      Michael. I know that Mageia isn't one of your favorite distributions but I appreciate your promoting their announcements.

      Mageia has done a great job with MGA7 keeping up with kernel, mesa, and other packages in rapid development while maintaining a stable release.
