Phoronix: Fedora 32 Delayed From Releasing Next Week Due To Bugs

Hopefully it won't be like many Fedora releases in the past that were dragged out for weeks at a time due to blocker bugs (thankfully, recent Fedora releases have been tremendously better in that regard), but Fedora 32 will not be debuting next week as planned due to bugs...

Looking to the bright side, we know that it is not the end of the world.
We have covid, ebola, Krakatoa, hurricanes and earthquake, but when Fedora ships on time THEN we are f**ked 😂😂

No surprise. systemd boots slowly enough, that across ~50,000 times the Fedora devs have booted in preparation for this release, they've lost a couple of weeks of time. In fact, you could say that every Fedora release since 2011 has been delayed by weeks or months due to systemd.

systemd boots in a few seconds on my Debian machines... Not sure why Fedora takes longer to boot, but it’s definitely not because of systemd per se.

more services out the box and how they're configured, e.g. firewalld slows network.target being reached.
