    If you do not understand the seriousness of this hack and it doesn't raise your hair stright, this news is not for you.

    ICM of Warsaw University was hacked for 5 months without notice giving unauthorised access to a hacker. He substituted SSH for his own which means he was able to act as a root plus gaining info on all high class IT professionals. Jugding by these news:

    it is highly probable that the attack was carried by Russia, a country famous for hackers.

    The problem lies in the fact that the icm.edu.pl supercomputer with high bandwidth stores some major mirrors for distributions like Debian and Fedora. Substituting packages would be a breeze. Keys you may ask? You're dealing with russian hackers. Don't forget about it. There's no such thing as impossible for them. And you would be non the wiser.
