You can jolly well build your own 5.6 kernel. That's the whole purpose of open-source; to let people muck and destroy their stuff in their own way.
It's what UKUU and other 3rd-party kernel update utilities (eg: https://github.com/pimlie/ubuntu-mainline-kernel.sh) tipically target for install on Ubuntu.
