Use a non debug 1000Hz timer AMD wip kernel.

Sadly Ubuntu appears to have done just that. As a matter of fact they removed both freesync and vrr in 5.1_rc3 restored just vrr in 5.1_rc4.
The drm-tip line is also affected as well as the daily's. Atleast I have MBAB's kernel for working freesync.

I get the feeling this has less to do with more CVEs being brought forward and more about Canonical's stated focus on IoT and other network connected devices where security obviously is a bigger concern.

    Nice.
Hopefully one of them can find the ON switch and restore Freesync . It's been disabled on Ubuntu Mainline kernels since 5.1_rc3..the new 5.2_rc1 is no exception.

I wish AMD also did this, many people who paid good money are still experiencing problems with their Ryzen (AM4 and TR4) CPUs and no official support or bug tracker from them. They are just leaving 100s of people to struggle and repair broken filesystems and corrupt databases.

Phoronix: Ubuntu Expands Its Kernel Uploader Team

As a sign of the times with the Linux kernel being affected by an increasing number of CVEs (and particularly high profile ones at that), there are now more Ubuntu developers with upload rights for sending down new kernel upgrades...
