So you have a company that is interested in such a finding on one hand (Ubuntu) and professional Liars, Liewyers on the other hand. And there is even more incentive to lie from the company let's assume for a second even it's absurd that Canonical is this *cough* good linux company that only wants to bring linux forward for the world the lawyers still would have a incentive to lie.
Because if now somebody would sue Canonical because they used that technology because of their false statements, they would then of course say we stand by our conclusion we will defend you. But they will not take this case for free if they loose they will still bill canonical
Both scenarias could be right but you should consider the possibility that I am right and not conclude that because this lawyers say so it must be true.
