Did you notice that Microsoft is selling a Linux distro?

Microsoft is selling for WSL a distro called WLinux based on Debian, I believe that from my part is the most awkward thing I've ever seen, this makes me very depressed...

I don't get why people are saying that Microsoft is selling it and making a big deal about it.... Yes, it's in the Microsoft Store that developers can publish to. On its product page it says it's by "Whitewater Foundry, Ltd. Co." yet other news sites seem to be saying Microsoft is selling (or implying that it's making it) Linux distro.
