    I've been using zram to increase the amount of swap on a desktop computer with SSD: Running out of RAM with 4 zram devices + a regular swap partition feels silky smooth compared to just the regular swap partition. Earlyoom did not always prevent the desktop from locking up.

    If I understand correctly, multiple zram devices increases parallelism.

      That hasn't been the case for a long time unless you have a 3.x kernel.
