    Well it's worth noting that ClearLinux is really a server and compute OS, so it's no surprise that the server and compute tasks did exceptionally well there.

    The ones geared for desktop obviously would fall short in their stock configuration there. Things like the latency/throughput trade-off really kick in there. Compute servers and workstations should have throughput leaning balance there, which can provide gains of 10-30% depending on the task. Meanwhile in a function that requires ultra-low-latency, you will see the server OS fall through the floor, a standard desktop OS do decent, and a low latency OS take the prize.
